| 1Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:1-2 I always thought that this meant something like the rapture, or when Christ returns as described in Revelations. I never thought that it could be applicable to death. I mean second coming of Christ means beginning of eternity for Christians, right? I also wondered whether His second coming will not come in my life time or not, but after someone pointed out that it really means our death. The scripture just made all the sense in the world to me. I'm sure I'm the minority on this one. Call me naive... I still believe in Santa. |
